The Global Innovation Outlook by IBM is a worldwide conversation between researchers, consultant or business leaders about innovation that matters. One aim: predict the business and technologies trends of tomorrow. 

The GIO is rooted in the belief that the very nature of innovation has changed in the early days of the 21st century. It is increasingly open, collaborative, multi-disciplinary and global.

The principle is simple, IBM puts on open sources some of its softwares and let the consumers try them and invite people to comment. One of the application IBM Web Highlights is very usefull: it’s a social Web 2.0 application that allows quick creation, sharing, and discussion of Web snippets and Web pages.
